Although Neighbourhood Plans are in place for both the Loose and North Loose areas, the new, expanded parish means a new plan must be prepared, A Neighbourhood Plan does not prevent further development happening within the Parish, but MBC must take its contents into consideration when making decisions.
The map below shows sites that were offered for consideration at the 2019 Call For Sites. Although there are a few within the area of Loose Parish, it will be noted that there are substantially larger proposals for lands bordering Loose. Whilst they are not in Loose, as has been shown by the Forstal Lane development at Coxheath, there have been significant effects on the Loose area, notably Well Street in this case.
On the wider scale, almost all new development proposals state that major traffic access will be via Linton Crossroads - a junction which is already potentially at capacity. There are also development plans for Linton, Marden and Staplehurst which will add to traffic volumes.
